Do the tables in your paintings seem to tilt? Windows seem to lift off the walls? Roads look like they are climbing hills? Understanding perspective can help you create realistic spaces in flat artwork. Eye level lines, vanishing points, vanishing lines (aka orthagonals) and more will be explained. Students will see how these work in the real world and can be used to create drawings with convincing 3-D spaces.
This introductory workshop focuses on linear, 1- and 2- point perspective, with a nod to aerial (or atmospheric) perspective to create the illusion of depth in realistic art.
