Dance troupes and bands converge on the Ozark Folk Center State Park September 7-9 for the annual Folk Dance Days weekend. This event offers three fun-filled days of live music, community dances, and workshops focused on Traditional styles of dance such as clogging, step dancing, Scottish, English, contras, squares, waltzes, and Ozark jigging. This Friday, on-lookers can watch dancers from across the region compete for the coveted title of State Jig-dancing Champ in the Folk Center’s 1,000-seat Music Theater. The competition is free to enjoy (or compete in) with an evening music show to follow featuring local favorites Pam Setser and Brad Apple. Tickets to evening shows are $12 for adults, $7 for children ages 6-12, and FREE for children 5 and under.

The Ozark Folk Center State Park will host Celebrity Performer and legendary folk and blues performer, Taj Mahal on Friday, September 28 and Feature Performer Carlene Carter, daughter of June Carter Cash, October 13.
