It’s Jazz Night at Club Possum. We have a special performance by two wonderful string jazz groups.
Jazz Agenda stands apart from the normal styles regularly heard around the Mountain View area. String jazz is the preferred genre of this five-piece orchestra. All but one are students of the band leader Albee Tellone. The delightful family vocal styles of the Glover family blend smoothly with the jazzy licks of the mandolin and guitar. The muted trumpet adds that special jazz edge that makes you feel like you fell back to the roaring 20’s.
Kent and Beci Coffey are two of the most talented musicians in the Ozark region. They have shown off their talent in Branson as well as many other venues. They currently perform with the Pam Setser Band. While they play country classics and old time music with the best of them, they have a reputation for being consummate string jazz performers as well. Beci has reached a masters’ level on the upright bass while Kent makes his acoustic guitar play note that are seemingly impossible. Couple these musicians skills with smooth voices and tight harmonies and you have a wonderfully memorable performance.
