Kelly Hunt is a singer-songwriter of Americana/Roots music. Born and raised in Memphis, TN, she now calls Kansas City home. Kelly’s primary instrument is her voice, which rings out with confidence and clarity of someone who has been singing all her life. Accompanied by her 1920s tenor banjo, Kelly’s songs meld traditions of folk, blues, classic country, and old-time music for a sound that is all her own. Her songwriting springs from a place of rich imagery and bespeaks a genuine love of storytelling. Kelly is currently recording her first album (featuring multi-instrumentalist Stas’ Heaney), which she hopes to make available by early winter 2017.

Stas’ Heaney is a classically-trained percussionist, pianist, and violinist. But a 19th c. fiddle is his instrument of choice when playing with Kelly. His deft instrumentals lend a vibrance and richness to Kelly’s songs, weaving between banjo and vocals with graceful precision.
