Ozark Folk School Cable Knitting
Administration Building

Taught by Rusti Barger

Once you’ve mastered the beginner knitting techniques from our spring workshop, make your next project amazing with cable knitting. Make your own cabled headband/earwarmer using your newly acquired cabling skills. These same cables are used in sweaters, socks, and scarves. We will cover how to make left-leaning & right-leaning cables, as well as how to figure the proper number of stitches to cast on when incorporating a cable pattern into a piece.

All materials provided

• Knitting needles

• Yarn for project

• Knitting Essentials kit (includes special needle for cable knitting)

• Project pattern

• Written instructions for all techniques covered in class

• List of continued learning resources
