    Jewelry Class – Make a Wire Wrapped Bracelet @ Ozark Folk Center State Park
    Jul 13 @ 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

    Learn to make beautiful sterling silver and gold-filled wire bracelet with the fine wire wrapping like the one in the picture. All materials are provided. Tools are also furnished but if you have your own feel free to bring them. This class requires some hand strength. If you need glasses to see close please bring them.

    Total cost of class is $122. Registration fee $22. Class cost of $100 includes materials and is due directly to Linda at the beginning of class.

    Learn to Spin Yarn @ Ozark Folk Center State Park

    Take home your own skein of handspun as you spend a couple of days acquiring the peaceful and rewarding art of crafting your own yarn. Spinning is a wonderful way to while away a cozy evening by the fireplace or make good use of those summer days when the heat keeps you from going out. With the ability to create your own handspun, you will never lack for the perfect yarn for that special project again – or the perfect gift for the knitters and crocheters in your life! Registration is required two weeks prior to class.

    Wheel Thrown Pottery @ Ozark Folk Center State Park

    Learn to create beautiful, functional mugs, bowls, vases, and other pottery using an electric potter’s wheel.

    This class is for beginning to intermediate students who would like to learn the fundamentals of throwing and trimming. We will also explore adding handles and decorating techniques. No experience necessary.

    This is a three-day class during Ozark Folk School.

    The class size is limited. The registration deadline is two weeks before the beginning of class. Registration fee due when signing up is $64. Class fee, due directly to the instructor at the beginning of class is $225. Materials fee $15. Total cost of class: $304.

     

    iRest Yoga Nidra – Monthly Workshop @ Arkansas Craft School
    Jul 13 @ 5:30 pm – 6:45 pm

    In this monthly iRest yoga nidra workshop, instructor Aly Dearborn will introduce students to the iRest meditation protocol. She will be providing a combination of lecture, guided experiential practice and discussion. No prior experience with yoga or meditation needed. iRest Yoga Nidra may be done sitting, laying down (most common) or even standing. Your comfort is important for this practice.

     

    Please bring a mat or camping pad of some sort if you like to sit or lay down on the ground. Chairs will be available for those who prefer to sit for meditation. Aly may offer a soundbath during the closing portion of the class, using crystal singing bowls or gongs.

    Join us for our NEW monthly 2nd Mondays Painting Class with Jim Tindall! This class is for everyone – from absolute beginners to advanced painters. Each class is 2 hours. Students will receive guidance about the completion of a specific painting in each class.
